Chemours is seeking an Industrial Millwright Intern to join our growing Corpus Christi team! This position is available at our Ingleside, TX location.
The Corpus Christi Plant Maintenance Technician accomplishes, with a minimum of supervision, a wide variety of maintenance assignments. This position will shadow, learn and participate in daily maintenance activities with other qualified maintenance technicians. Interns will be required to review and follow all Chemours EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) and Maintenance Work Procedures. They will also be required to shadow a Chemours Mentor.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Pump Lubrication Monitoring
+ Compressor Lubrication Monitoring
+ Equipment Install and Commissioning
+ Motor/Pump Alignment
+ Equipment Overhauls
+ Equipment Prep for Inspections
+ Mobile Crane Simulation
+ General Maintenance
+ Safety Inspections
The following is _required_ for this role:
+ Currently enrolled in a 2-year Millwright program at DMC, Adequate relevant field experience may be considered.
+ The employee must be able to wear industrial safety equipment; hard hat, gloves (both leather and chemical), hearing protection, FR clothing, Tyvek suit, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, and goggles
+ Must have excellent manual dexterity and visual acuity and can stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, reach overhead, and climb multiple flights of stairs.
+ Must have familiarity with manufacturing equipment, such as pumps, piping, valves, filters, conveyors, etc.
