Job Title: Lab Chemist

Location: Chicago Area

Company Overview: A leading coatings company in the Chicago area is seeking a recently graduated chemist to join their lab team. We specialize in developing advanced coatings, including silicones, high-temperature coatings, corrosion-resistant coatings (with a 750-hour salt fog test), dielectric strength coatings up to 2500 volts, and heat-resistant coatings up to 600°F.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct experiments and testing on various coating formulations.
• Analyze performance characteristics of coatings, including durability and resistance.
• Collaborate with the team to develop innovative solutions and improve existing products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
• Strong interest in coatings technology and materials science.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Note: The company has recently discontinued its fluoropolymer production for health reasons, focusing on safer and more sustainable alternatives.
