What will you be doing?
The Chemical Technician III is responsible for supporting Chemists and Scientists in preparation and testing of pharmaceutical materials by instrumental analysis. You will support research activities by preparing samples and solutions for analysis, analyzing data, and generating reports all in a cGMP environment.
- Plans, performs and completes projects under direct supervision
- Method performance • Method transfer • Method development • Method feasibility • Method validation
- Demonstrates proficiency in setting up, adjusting, operating and calibrating laboratory equipment and instruments - may include some of the following, but not limited to the following: • HPLC • GC • LC/MS
- Independently performs lab tests to determine physical and chemical characteristics
- Performs data analysis • May begin doing some technical assessment
- Knowledgeable in use of data acquisition software and instrument operating software (e.g. Turbochrom, Cerity, WinLab)
What it takes to be successful in this role:
- BA/BS Chemistry, Biology or related scientific degree preferred
- 1-4 years of related industry experience in an analytical laboratory
- Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, GC/MS, LC/MS
- Organization, communication and analytical skills
