As a Process Engineer, your mission is to drive operational excellence within our kaolin operations. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing process efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness. Your responsibilities extend beyond technical expertise; you’ll also be a champion of safety within the plant.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Critical Projects Management:
• Strategic Focus: Work on projects identified as critical through personal efforts, justifications, and recognition by others within KaMin.
• System-Level Impact: These projects primarily deal with complete systems.

1. Process Improvement and Equipment Evaluation:

• Recommendations: Identify and recommend process improvements and actively assist in their implementation.
• Equipment Selection: Evaluate processing equipment and provide recommendations for optimal plant use.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Teamwork: Collaborate as part of cross-functional project teams.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Interface with internal and external customers.

1. Work Environment and Availability:

• Office and Plant Environment: Operate in both office and plant settings, subject to internal and external environmental conditions.
• Office Equipment: Required to operate standard office equipment.
• Travel and On-Call: Some travel may be necessary (including overseas, although rare). Be available and willing to be on-call outside regular hours.

Knowledge/Skills:

• A 4-year engineering degree from an accredited university, coupled with 3-5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Hands-On Expertise: Experience in evaluating the performance of existing and new processes, making data-driven recommendations, and successfully implementing process improvements.
• Mineral or Chemical Processing: Additional experience in mineral or chemical processing is advantageous.
