Job Duties:
Requirements:
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
- Assist in start-up, operation, and shutdown of plant equipment, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide recommendations and input to staff in operation of plant systems.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of various plant systems.
- Start-up, operate, and shutdown equipment according to approved procedures.
- Monitor and adjust operating parameters to maintain safe operation.
- Support Board Operators in proper operation of facility.
- Operate and maintain plant equipment locally via PLC panel interfaces.
- Communicate plant operations, conditions, and equipment issues to Operators.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management system proficiently.
- Handle corrective and preventive maintenance work orders.
- Visually inspect and listen to equipment for malfunctions or need for repair.
- Monitor air and water emissions and maintain within acceptable limits.
- Troubleshoot and correct operational problems or safety hazards.
- Respond to chemical spills and leaks according to emergency response plans.
- Operate equipment as directed by Board Operator for safe plant operation.
- Obtain turnover from Field Operator being relieved, including special orders.
- Review operating logs and inspect plant equipment.
- Perform tests on critical plant systems and equipment.
- Test and operate plant safety equipment as directed.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area.
- Report maintenance activities to Board Operator
- Participate in safety meetings and training.
- Operate vehicles on-site as required.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- 3-5 years experience in chemical/petrochemical plant operations
- Ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations
- Knowledge of equipment isolation and tagging procedures
- Experience in responding to plant abnormal situations and emergencies
- Experience in monitoring and identifying rotating equipment problems
- Knowledge of Environmental Protection regulations and reporting requirements
Salary
30 - 35 /hour
