Chemical Manufacturing Lab Supervisor - New Kensington, PA (First Shift)
Our client located in New Kensington, PA. is seeking (1st shift) Direct Hire, Chemical Manufacturing, Laboratory Supervisor. The Lab Supervisor will provide analytical problem-solving support for root cause analysis. The laboratory supervisor will oversee laboratory safety and ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Performs laboratory testing using standard laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Performs required testing on all batch, first article, and bulk load liquid samples.
- Performs required testing as applicable on incoming raw chemicals.
- Records and reports test results accurately and promptly
- Manages customer formulations, specifications, and testing procedures.
- Maintains customer test results database and satisfies customer sample requests & sample system.
- Investigates out-of-specification chemicals and batches, liaisons with customer, and provides guidance for resolution.
- Calibrating, and maintaining equipment for analytical development activities
- Ensures all applicable paperwork/documentation is accurately completed and filed
- Quarterly report on the lab’s throughput and asset utilization
- Maintain lab cleanliness and organization per 5S methodology
- Customer support and customer follow ups as needed
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, engineer sciences or related work experience with good knowledge of physiochemistry.
Technical Skills and Experience:
- Experience using UHPLC, ICP, IC and GM/MS equipment and methods required
- Prior professional experience in similar industries is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability and self-starter
- Able to manage multiple projects and varying tasks simultaneously
