Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the local culinary scene and excited to showcase their passion through strong leadership and creativity.
Job Duties
- Create a thriving work environment by planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities using their personal creativity and leadership abilities
-Effectively manage culinary activities in a hoodless kitchen
- Create new menu items and specials
- Ensure high-quality food presentation
- Oversee kitchen staff and coordinate kitchen operations while leading by example during prep and service hours
- Place orders, manage inventory and control food costs while keeping up strong relationships with vendors
- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events, buyouts and catering
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef in various culinary environments
-Experience in opening of concepts; building teams and creating and enforcing operating standards from the ground up
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, restaurant management, menu building and kitchen operations
- Excellent understanding of hospitality, dietary departments, and food production
- Ability to lead by example and motivate kitchen staff
