YOUR LIFE AS A CHEF DE PARTIE - LINE CHEF
This full-time culinary position typically works a 5-day work week, including evenings and weekends.
As a Chef de Partie - Line Chef, you arrive each day determined to ensure that every meal that leaves our kitchen lives up to our standards of quality. As you set up various stations, you help stock food items and other necessary supplies. You prepare to cook by cutting, chopping, and mixing ingredients as well as creating sauces. Using specified recipes, you cook meals by grilling, frying, sautéing, and using other cooking methods. Your attention to detail ensures that each dish meets our standards as well as adheres to any special requests.
To make sure that properly cooked dishes get out to diners in a timely manner, you communicate effectively with other kitchen staff while working in an organized, coordinated, and efficient manner. You always maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas and follow sanitation standards to the letter. At the end of each shift, you diligently clean and sanitize cooking surfaces, perform inventory checks, and complete food storage logs. You love working in a fast-paced culinary environment, creating delicious meals for guests, and contributing to the success of our restaurant!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- 3+ years as a restaurant cook OR equivalent culinary experience
- Extensive food knowledge
