The Courville at Manchester is a Senior Healthcare Community in Manchester's North End. We are locally owned and operated and committed to providing personalized service and care. We’re looking for a Full-time Chef to join our dedicated staff.
- Rotating AM/PM Schedule
- M/T 11a-7p
- W/Th, W/F, or Th/F 5a-1p
- Every other Weekend 5a-1p
- Full-time position
- Rate $20-23/hour
- Experience required

Job Description:
Prepare and cook meals that are well-balanced and well-presented while following/maintaining resident dietary requirements. Supervise and delegate tasks to dietary aides in the absence of the Director.
- Prepare meals/desserts/snacks according to the prepared menu/recipes and State Guidelines
- Set up steam table to serve Resident FLoors and dining room
- Assist the Director in putting food orders away using the FIFO method
- Assist the Director with placing food orders in the Director's absence
- Transport deliveries/supplies to kitchen storage area
- Understand, follow and serve therapeutic diets and textures
- Cover, label, and date all food items in refrigerators/freezers ensuring FIFO method is followed
- Check and record temperatures of dishwasher and sanitizer levels
- Clean/sanitize dishes
- Load, operate, and unload dishwasher
- Assist in cleaning/organizing/sanitizing
- Be familiar with sanitization codes according to State Regulations related to dietary and meal service
- Fill in for vacations/call-outs
- Check and record ALL temperatures daily of refrigerator and freezer
- Avoid food waste, use leftovers in an efficient manner
- Assist in dining room service and service of all guest meals
- Work cooperatively with other members of dietary and nursing staff
- Sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal
- Attend any dietary meetings/in-service sessions
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/Equivalent
- Prefer 1-2 years of experience as a cook in restaurant, food industry, hotel, or similar healthcare setting
