Effectively leads the patient care team to achieve optimum patient outcomes during their shift. Assumes responsibilities as delegated by the Unit Director, including direction, supervision and delegation of clinical and non-clinical responsibilities to staff. Facilitates effective communication and resolution of work site operation issues that support Baptist Health Deaconess in its strategic initiatives.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program preferred. Current Kentucky State Board of Nursing license required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred. BCLS required. ACLS and PALS or ENPC required within 6 months of hire. NIH Stroke Scale Certification required 3 months from date of hire. EKG & Sedation required within 3 months. TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire. CEN or board certified in area of expertise recommended within 5 years of hire. Avade workplace violence prevention training (Level III) required after hire, not to exceed 3 months, and maintained annually. Training provided in-house. ***current employees as of April 12, 2024 will be allowed 1 year to obtain***

EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in related area preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated leadership qualities at current level of practice and good interpersonal and communication skills.
