Job Summary: The Chaplaincy Internship position serves as an essential part of maintaining Moore's culture of care towards its partners helping them through difficult situations using Biblical principles. The goal for the internship is for the intern to gain valuable real-world work experience in their desired career path, while giving Moore's additional support within operations.

Responsibilities:
- Working directly with our Chaplain on any issues that our partners face
- Assist Chaplain with any administrative tasks
- Interact respectfully and productively with all types of people regardless of social or economic status
- Create a safe and confidential atmosphere for sharing personal information
- Speak/pray publicly when required
- Prepare presentation for Leadership at the completion of the internship
Requirements:
- Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Chaplaincy, Biblical Education, Biblical Counseling, and/or Christian Leadership & Management
- Passion for the Gospel and people with a heart for working with people through difficult situations
- Proficiency in applying Biblical principles to one-on-one personal care, support, and encouragement
- Working knowledge base of mental health challenges (i.e., anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation) and tools to help navigate
- Familiarity with various substance abuse issues and recovery paths
- Willingness to be on-call after hours
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-first mindset
- Desire to learn and grow
- Transportation and ability to commute to the Altavista Offices and our job sites
- Great sense of humor
