We are currently seeking a Chaplain to join our team and provide spiritual care, counseling, and guidance to residents, families, and staff. Responsibilities:- Provide spiritual care to residents, offering support, prayer, and encouragement as needed.
- Lead worship services and religious ceremonies, including chapel services, memorial services, and holiday observances.
- Offer individual counseling to residents and their families, addressing spiritual, emotional, or end-of-life concerns.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure holistic care, incorporating spiritual needs into individual care plans.
- Be available for crisis intervention and provide comfort during times of illness, grief, or loss.
- Facilitate group discussions and activities to promote spiritual well-being and connection among residents.
- Assist with staff support by providing spiritual guidance and opportunities for reflection or group prayer.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for residents' diverse beliefs and backgrounds.
- Be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Ordained Chaplain with appropriate qualifications and certification.
- Previous experience in providing spiritual care in a senior living or healthcare setting preferred.
- Must have current TB test or attain one prior to starting to work.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to hire.
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions and to remain calm during emergency situations.
- Possess the ability to seek out new methods and directives and be willing to
- incorporate them into existing practices.
- Be knowledgeable of office practices, procedures and guidelines.
- Must have practical working knowledge of personal computers and applicable computer software.
- Ability to concentrate on moderate details with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to understand and relate specific ideas and concepts.
- Must be willing to attend additional training as offered by Christian Care/Fellowship Square.
- Willing to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
