Job Details
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in steering the company’s financial strategy and operations. As a member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will partner closely with the CEO and other stakeholders to ensure financial health, provide data-driven insights, and secure funding to fuel growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and hands-on experience in fundraising and scaling technology-driven organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team, providing actionable insights to drive growth and profitability.
- Play a central role in preparing for and executing future rounds of capital raising, including investor relations and due diligence.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Develop key performance metrics (KPIs) to measure business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Operational Excellence
- Establish scalable financial systems, processes, and controls to support rapid growth.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, cost management, and operational improvements.
- Manage cash flow and optimize working capital to sustain healthy financial operations.
Investor & Stakeholder Relations
- Cultivate relationships with existing and potential investors, presenting the company’s financial performance and vision.
- Lead due diligence efforts, financial modeling, and presentations for fundraising activities.
- Communicate financial results and strategy to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team capable of supporting the company’s growth trajectory.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation within the finance function.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, with a focus on technology or manufacturing startups.
- Demonstrated success in raising capital, managing investor relations, and navigating growth stages.
- Hands-on experience building scalable financial systems and processes in a high-growth environment.
- Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
