About the Job
A growing non-profit organization located west of downtown LA area is looking for a CFO. While overseeing a small accounting/finance team, the CFO will be responsible for all finance and accounting functions of the organization. Duties for the CFO include ensuring efficient accounting policies and procedures (i.e., fiscal budget process, regulatory and government audits, overseeing month / quarter/ year-end closes, A/P, A/R, payroll, etc.). The CFO will collaborate with executive leadership team on strategic analysis, prepare P&L statements and annual budgets, conduct business analytics, manage government grants and funded programs, lead cyclical audits, prepare regulatory compliance documents, prepare tax filings, as well as partake in strategic business operations decisions.
- Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- CPA is extremely preferred.
- Non-profit industry background is required.
- Must be a strong, effective, and hands-on leader.
- Great track record of enhancing accounting, finance, audit, grant/funding, and reporting structures.
- Good technical skills (MS Office - Word Excel).
- $180 - 220k.
