Job Title: Temporary Payroll Specialist (6-Month Assignment)
Location: Sacramento, CA (On-site)
Salary Range: $33 - $36 per hour
Position Type: Temporary (6-Month Assignment) with the potential for it to turn into a long term role
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Temporary Payroll Specialist to join our client's collaborative payroll team for a 6-month assignment. As a key member of a three-person payroll team, you will be responsible for helping the team in processing payroll for up to 400 employees, handling certified payroll using LCP Tracker and DIR, as well as processing union payroll. Key Responsibilities:
- Regular Payroll Processing: Process bi-weekly payroll for up to 400 employees, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
- Certified Payroll: Use LCP Tracker and DIR systems to manage certified payroll reports for government and union contracts.
- Union Payroll: Ensure accurate processing of union payroll, adhering to union guidelines and agreements.
- Payroll Reporting: Generate and maintain various payroll reports as required for accounting, taxes, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth payroll operations and resolve any payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support Payroll Administration: Assist with payroll audits, employee inquiries, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Software Utilization: Work within Foundation accounting software to accurately enter payroll data and maintain payroll records.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Payroll Systems Knowledge: Experience using Foundation accounting software and familiarity with certified payroll systems like LCP Tracker and DIR is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Union Payroll: Strong understanding of union payroll processes and reporting requirements.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and strong problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate and support team members.
- Self-Starter: Ability to take initiative and work independently while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
