Are you a skilled and certified professional passionate about delivering top-tier patient care in the operating room? We are looking for a dedicated Certified Surgical First Assistant to join our exceptional surgical team!
About the Role:
As a Certified Surgical First Assistant, you will:
- Perform critical scrub duties under the expert guidance of registered nurses.
- Ensure the highest quality of patient care as a key member of our Operating Room team.
- Support clerical and registration tasks as needed, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our surgical operations.
As Assists in positioning, skin preparation and draping of the patient. Provides hemostasis, wound exposure, handles tissue appropriately to reduce the potential for injury, sutures tissue, and applies dressings to the wound under the direction of the surgeon. Uses surgical instruments skillfully in ways consistent with their design and purpose. Performs other medical services as required within the scope of practice for a Certified Surgical Technologist.
Qualifications:Minimum Education: Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
Preferred Education: Associate's Degree
Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years as a Certified Surgical Technologist
Req Cert/Registration: NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist; CSFA certification; BLS certification
Req Course(s)/Training: Successful completion of a Certified Surgical First Assistant program that includes a didactic and at least 140 documented procedures
