About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at University Center for Ambulatory Surgery, LLC, located in Somerset, New Jersey. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all medical equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and ready for use. Your attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols will be critical in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for our patients. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and ready for use when needed. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our healthcare facility and the safety of our patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician
- Current BLS Certification
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment
- Ability to follow strict protocols and maintain accurate records
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a related field
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Sterilize and disinfect medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Assemble and package equipment for use in medical procedures
- Maintain accurate records of equipment sterilization and maintenance
