Certified SAS Programmer Responsibilities
• Responsible for the process surrounding file receipt and submission of risk adjustment data to the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS).
• Use SAS code to process, create, and submit data, ensuring compliance with CMS submission guidelines.
• Edit, format, and maintain datasets; perform data retrieval, validation, analysis, and ensure proper audit trail documentation.
• Collaborate with vendors, providers, and internal teams to manage workflows and ensure deadlines are met.
• Participate in logical data modeling to translate business requirements into valid database designs.
• Develop data extraction processes to support internal and external business needs.
• Monitor and report project status, identifying potential issues, and addressing them to avoid project delays.
