- Period Of Performance: The period of performance will be a 12 months base from the date of award with 4 consecutive one year options.
BASIC QUALIFICATION/KNOWLEDGE SKILLS:
Contractor shall ensure that all contract personnel have met the qualifying criteria outlined in this section. Personnel assigned by the contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall have a current unrestricted license from a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia with related work experience within last 12 months with no employment gaps exceeding four months. Minimum two (2) years' experience as a CRNA.
6.1.1. The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), an accrediting arm of the National League for Nursing located at 61 Broadway, 33rd Floor, New York, New York 10006. Additional information may be obtained from the NLNAC website; or
6.1.2. The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an accrediting arm of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). The CCNE accredits bachelor's and master's degree programs and is located at One Dupont Circle, N.W., Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036. Additional information may be obtained from the CCNE website.
6.1.3. In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a current, full and unrestricted registration (see basic requirement in subparagraph c below) and the possession of a Certificate from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
6.2. Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) at the time the program was completed by the applicant. The AANA has compiled current listings of approved training institutions, which are published annually in the December issue of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Journal. The American Hospital Association in their "Guide to the Health Care Field” also publishes listings of approved training institutions annually in August.
6.3. Current, full active and unrestricted licensure as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the U.S. or in the District of Columbia.The nurse anesthetist must maintain a current, full, active and unrestricted registration to continue employment with Client.
6.4. Certification: On and after May 4, 1993, certification by the Council of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists is a requirement for employment. This requirement does not apply to non-certified nurse anesthetists employed by Client as a nurse anesthetist prior to May 4, 1993 and continuously thereafter. Any nurse anesthetist, who leaves Client employment or vacates the nurse anesthetist occupation for another Client position, must meet the current requirement of certification for reappointment as a nurse anesthetist. The CCNA and the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists have designated the AANA's web site as a display agent for their information. (2) Nurse Anesthetists will maintain recertification by meeting the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetist's requirements as a condition of employment.

6.6. Proficiency in spoken and written English. The qualifications of such personnel shall also be subject to review/approval by the Client COS or designee.
6.7. Individuals will be required to provide and maintain current license, applicable certifications, proof of a negative TB test within the past 12 months, current flu and COVID vaccination or valid exemption, pre-employment drug screening, and BLS certification and ACLS Certification. Contractor will provide proof of updated licenses and certifications to the COR or designated individual prior to being scheduled for Client required training. Contractor will also provide proof of updated licenses and certifications to the COR or designated individual as they expire. Contractor will be responsible for completing initial competency evaluations based on Client-provided competency list and will provide completed assessment to COR. Individuals must meet physical requirements to perform a full range of duties without physical restrictions. Personnel must also have a working knowledge and basic skills in the use of personal computers (PC). Contract personnel are required to be credentialed through VetPro.
6.8. Evidence of completion of required licensure, credentials, required training, current competencies and initiation of background investigations must be validated for all contractor personnel referred to perform services under this contract prior to providing direct patient care.
6.9. Ultimately, the decision to accept or reject contract staff rests with the Client. Contractor shall not have any personnel report to duty until written notification is received from the Contracting Officer advising that the candidate(s) presented has met all requirements for contract performance.
7. SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: This contract requires the services of the nurse anesthetist in various areas of Client. The experience required should be within last 12 months with no gaps in employment more than four (4) months. Minimum Two years' (2) experience as a CRNA
Current ACLS Certification 8.1.2. Current BLS Certification Note: Contract nurse anesthetist(s) performing services on this contract may not provide nurse anesthetist services at other health care systems/medical centers located within the Houston, Texas area concurrently while providing services at Client unless getting approval/authorization by designated Client personnel to do so.
