Certified Recovery Specialist
Passages to Recovery, Inc. (Passages), a non-profit organization in Pittsburgh PA, provides recovery-based services that focus on substance use while addressing contributing factors of trauma, mental health, and family systems. We have been helping people rebuild their lives since 1976, and our residential inpatient, outpatient, and community-based services are needed now more than ever.
We’re looking for a qualified individual with lived experience to provide community-based peer recovery support services to people who are contemplating or are actively engaged in recovery from substance use disorder. In this position, you’ll serve as a role model, advocate, navigator and motivator to individuals who self-identify as being in recovery, and to their family members who also wish to receive peer supports. You’ll share your personal recovery experience as appropriate, and provide a variety of forms of assistance which may include harm reduction, diverse recovery pathways, and sustainable long-term recovery. In peer-to-peer supports, the relationship is the intervention.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including health, dental, life insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, and opportunities for advancement. This is a full-time field position based in our Swissvale offices, which have free parking and easy access to the Parkway (Interstate 376).
