Northern Pines Mental Health Center is seeking a Certified Recovery Peer to join our Substance Use Disorder Services team. This is a full-time position. The purpose of this position is to facilitate the development of rehabilitation skills and provide opportunities for those receiving services to direct their own recovery process.
Essential Functions include:
- Modeling/ mentoring constructive coping skills
- Assisting in developing/ practicing skills outlined in treatment plan
- Providing knowledge of supportive resources (i.e. social support networks, community resources)
- Building relationships with clients to assist them in identifying goals for functional improvement
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Personal experience and knowledge of recovery
- Completion of MN Department of Human Services approved Recovery Peer certification program
- Valid driver’s license
