About the Job
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our team, physicians, and patients with various daily tasks, including data entry, answering inquiries, and ensuring accurate prescription dispensation. You will work closely with our pharmacy warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery of orders to patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist team members, physicians, and patients by entering prescription information accurately into our pharmacy dispensing system.
Maintain a strong understanding of pharmacy policies and government regulations to ensure compliance.
Support quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.
Calculate patient doses based on prescription and prescribing guidelines.
Clarify physician orders as needed and enter clarifications into the system under pharmacist supervision.
Provide excellent customer service by answering phone calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
Adhere to program guidelines and protocols for specific patient needs.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous experience in pharmacy data entry is preferred.
Proficiency in basic algebra to calculate doses accurately.
Ideally, possess 2+ years of relevant experience.
Active Pharmacy Technician license without restrictions in the state of Kentucky.
Current CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification is required and must be up-to-date.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word; proficiency in Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio is desirable. Strong keyboard skills are essential.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 19.00 Per Hour
