Job Details

• Location: Philadelphia, PA
• Salary Range: $59,000 - $65,000/yr (Depending on experience)
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts; 5 days on, 2 days off

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• CPHT - Certified Pharmacy Technician (Required)
• Experience in an accredited hospital pharmacy technician training program or equivalent combination of education and experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including sterile products.
• Identify, prepare, package, label, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Participate actively in team efforts to achieve departmental goals.
• Communicate effectively regarding medication issues and concerns.
• Assist in training new pharmacy staff, including technicians, interns, and students.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures and activities.
• Ensure the security and proper distribution of medications, including controlled substances.
• Prepare medications using aseptic techniques and compound various pharmaceutical formulations.
• Monitor and maintain pharmacy equipment and automated dispensing machines.
• Take accountability for personal actions and strive for continuous improvement.
