Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician, to perform a variety of responsibilities such as maintaining quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory. Ensure the accurate and efficient dispensing of prescription medications. Prepare and package medications, maintaining inventory, and performing administrative tasks.
Job details:
- Pay starts at $19.50 - $21.50 based on experience
Work Schedule:
- 1st shift - must be available to work from 7 am to 7 pm
Job duties include:
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Maintain inventory quality, accuracy, and integrity by utilizing automated systems, tracking deliveries, adhering to procedures, auditing performance, managing databases, troubleshooting issues, and processing recalls and returns.
- Maintain pharmacy systems and technology by preparing records and reports, monitoring inventory levels and expiration dates, calibrating machines, applying settings, replenishing medications, and troubleshooting issues.
- Maintain and track medication inventory by sorting, storing, restocking, reporting low stock, ensuring stock rotation, performing cycle counts, creating reports, and monitoring for expired pharmaceuticals.
- Support facility with reporting and paperwork by entering and modifying data, processing paperwork, creating and maintaining documentation, identifying and resolving discrepancies, preparing reports, and informing management about inefficient processes.
- Promote and maintain professional reputation by assisting in prescription fulfillment, maintaining merchandise, stocking and rotating supplies, handling claims and returns, completing documentation, working towards certifications, shadowing technicians, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Ensure fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions in an automated central fill pharmacy by using scanners, verifying products and quantities, entering data, labeling prescriptions, weighing and counting medications, preparing packages, distributing medications in a fast-paced environment, and replenishing automated counting machines.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with others, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending improvements, and adapting to change, difficulties, and feedback.

Qualifications- Valid National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA (Required)
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy License (Required)
