Certified Ophthalmic Technician - Global Dynamics

Global Dynamics LLC is excited to have an open opportunity for Certified Ophthalmic Technicians in Philadelphia, PA!

Required Qualifications:

• State Therapeutic Ophthalmic Licensure or equivalent
• COA or COT's plus at least 2 years’ of experience (within the last 18 months)
• Has the option to get certified within 90 days of start
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (from the American Heart Association)

Scheduling Details:  Full-time; 7:30AM-4:00PM; 8:00AM-4:30PM; or 8:30AM-5PM, Monday – Friday

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Interviews and screens patients
• Performs a variety of ophthalmic diagnostic tests/procedures on patients’ vision
• Operates sophisticated eye equipment
• Assists Ophthalmologists with clinic and operating room procedures
• Performs A&B scans to calculate intraocular lens power and visual field testing
• Performs intraocular tests associated with pre-operative cataract assessment
• Uses lensometer to obtain spectacle data and determine treatment
• Records patient data and test results
• Maintains and performs minor repairs on eye clinic equipment
• Cleans and stocks examining rooms; and Performs other related duties as assigned.
