AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) that is available for the 2024/2025 school year.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- State Occupational Therapy Assistant License or Certification required.
- 1+ years of relevant experience; experience in a school and/or pediatric setting(s) preferred.
- IEP experience preferred but not required.
- BLS/CPR Cert.
- Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Job Description:
- Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location - Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset.
- Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – Part Time (3 Days a week).
- Contract follows the academic district calendar.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Duties:
- Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
- Competent care is rendered to patients using exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
- Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
- Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Pay:
- $40-$42/hr. taxable.
- Weekly Direct Deposit.
