Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Twinbrook Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitation services to our residents and help them regain their independence in daily activities. 

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Duties:

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating residents' functional abilities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve residents' mobility, strength, and coordination
• Provide therapeutic activities to improve residents' fine motor skills, self-care abilities, and cognitive function
• Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Requirements:

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• CPR certification
• Experience working with geriatric population preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
