What will you do as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Symbii?
- Participate in the ongoing evaluation of patients’ functional status (muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, self-care ability, work capacity, etc.) as delegated by the OT. Participate in the ongoing evaluation of the home environment for hazards or barriers to more independent living as delegated by the OT.
- Participate in teaching new skills or retraining patients in once familiar daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injury.
- Maintain appropriate clinical records, clinical notes, and reports to the OT any changes in the patient’s condition.
- Follow treatment program and goals for improved patient function as established by the OT. Document patient response to treatment plan and progress toward established goals.
- Maintain contact/communication with other personnel involved in the patient’s care to promote coordinated, efficient care.
- Attend and contribute to in-service, case conference, and other meetings as required to ensure coordinated and comprehensive plans of care for the patients.
- Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other home care services. Consult with the OT and assist with necessary referrals.

Job Requirements:
Must possess a valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the State of Idaho
Must hold a current CPR certification
Must hold a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
