Position Summary: The COTA Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, following applicable laws and standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

NBCOT certified upon hire; renewal optional

Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program

Currently registered/licensed in the applicable State

One year of experience in post-acute care preferred

CPR certification required upon hire

Specific Job Requirements:

Participate in community health projects

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email

Liaison with patients and families for care planning

Demonstrate good body mechanics

Make independent decisions as needed

Knowledgeable of relevant laws and guidelines

Implement departmental policies and procedures

Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships

Essential Functions:

Follow treatment plans and chart appropriately

Utilize therapy software accurately

Exhibit excellent customer service

Assist in patient evacuation

Demonstrate dependable attendance and teamwork
