Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA). - The Lane House.

Position Summary: The COTA Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, following applicable laws and standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

• NBCOT certified upon hire; renewal optional
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
• Currently registered/licensed in the applicable State
• One year of experience in post-acute care preferred
• CPR certification required upon hire

Specific Job Requirements:

• Participate in community health projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
• Liaison with patients and families for care planning
• Demonstrate good body mechanics and independent decision-making
• Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships

Essential Functions:

• Follow treatment plans and chart appropriately
• Exhibit excellent customer service
• Assist in patient evacuation and demonstrate regular attendance
• Communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
