Position Overview: As a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with AdvantageCare Rehabilitation, you will play a crucial role in helping our residents achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life. You will work closely with our Occupational Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans, facilitate therapeutic activities, and provide ongoing support to residents and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assessment of residents' functional abilities and limitations.
- Implement and monitor personalized treatment plans under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, and coordination.
- Educate residents and their families on adaptive techniques and strategies to enhance independence.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize resident care and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions and progress notes.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Prior experience in a subacute or long-term care setting preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
