REQUIREMENTS:
- CPR Certification is mandatory.
- Licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant is required.
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience in long-term care.
- Good physical and mental health is essential.
- Capable of meeting physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.
- Possess training, knowledge, and experience for general duties under supervision.
REPORTING:
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant reports to the supervising Occupational Therapist and/or Rehabilitation Director.
JOB DUTIES:
- Understanding of physical medicine, therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology.
- Familiarity with operating physical therapy equipment, maintenance, and repairs.
- Administering treatment and rehabilitation services to patients with injuries or disabilities.
- Following treatment plans directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Monitoring and documenting patient treatment and progress.
- Assisting in developing educational plans based on learning needs.
- Ensuring documentation meets current standards and policies.
- Adhering to facility's policies and procedures.
