About the Position:
The Patient Care Tech will provide indirect patient care in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting. The PCT will be required to meet the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. They will be required to prepare and compile records in the Medical Surgical Unit or Telemetry Unit. The PCT is also required to Initiate directions from physician and nursing staff and participate in performance improvement activities. This position provides services to age range from adolescent to geriatric. Other duties as assigned.
Regulatory Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of certified nursing assistant program.
- Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
- Minimum of six months to one year of related work experience preferred.
