About the Job
At Advanced Care Hospital of Southern New Mexico, we provide critical care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients requireadditional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. At our 20-bed hospital, we provide specialized treatment in the Las Cruces and surrounding areas.
Our hospital is the first hospital in New Mexico to earn The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Respiratory Failure and are a “Center of Excellence” for all respiratory failure patients, including those who require prolonged ventilator management and weaning.
Nursing students may be eligible for level 3 career path pay by joining us as a Patient Care Tech

Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- CNA license preferred but required in the following states: ID, UT, WY, (SC only required if beds are licensed as a skilled nursing unit)
- STNA required in OH
- CPR Certification required
- One (1) year experience in a hospital setting preferred
Additional Qualifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- Demonstrates awareness of current Infection Control requirements and practices
- Demonstrates clinical proficiency utilizing policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Demonstrates appropriate use of supplies and equipment
- Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
