Certified Nursing Assistant - Health Advocates Network

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a **Certified Nursing Assistant** to work at a Correctional Facility in **Aberdeen, Washington.** These are _registry_ positions with our company. **Pay Rate:** $36 / hour **Shift Details:** + 12 hour shifts + Shift is 6pm to 6am (36 hours a week no OT) + ASAP **Responsibilities:** + - Answer patients' calls and determine how to assist them. + Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, urine intake and output, and food intake and output, reporting any drastic changes to a nurse or physician. + Provide basic patient care and treatments, such as feeding, changing soiled garments and giving massages. + Help patients with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, moving in bed, standing, and walking. + Reposition and turn bed bound patients; assist those who need help walking or assistance transporting in wheelchairs. + Provide patients comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing staff. + Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. + Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential. + Serves and protects the facility by adhering to professional standards, facility policies and procedures; federal, state, and local requirements; and JCAHO standards, where applicable. + Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining certification. + Work as part of a healthcare team to assess patient needs, plan and modify care. + Serve food trays and examine them for conformance to prescribed diet. + Apply compresses, ice bags and hot water bottles as directed by nursing supervisor. + Keep rooms clean and change soiled bedding and bedpans. + Transport medical equipment in and out of rooms according to patient requirements. + Inventory and requisition supplies. + Make appointments, keep records and perform other clerical duties in doctors' offices and clinics. + Maintains compliance and complies with annual requirements + Successfully completes required employment-related documentation, testing, and screenings in a timely manner **Qualifications:** + **Minimum 1-year previous working as a CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT** + Ability to build rapport with patients + Compassionate and caring demeanor + Familiarity with medical terminology + CPR card issued by the American Heart Association + Must have up to date certification in the state of **WA** + **_With current license, TB and BLS certification._** If interested, please apply through this job post.
