CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT / 7a-3p / Per Diem - Terraces of Lake Worth Care Center

Terraces of Lake Worth Care Center, a skilled nursing facility,is currently recruiting for Per DiemCertified Nursing Assistants [CNAs] to join our growing team.

Shift:  7a-3p Per Diem 

Terraces of Lake Worth Care Center strives to provide the highest quality of medical and nursing care, in an atmosphere that promotes healing and wellness. Our innovative, multi-disciplinary staff works cohesively to produce sustainable results for our residents and patients. Our skilled nursing care is composed of a team of doctors, nurses and certified nurse’s assistants who are available to residents 24 hours a day and includes assistance with getting in and out of bed, feeding, bathing, and dressing. We provide both short and long-term services so that we can provide the best care per the individual resident’s need. Our rehabilitative services provide physical, speech, occupational, and respiratory therapies.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant [CNA]:

• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Provides adjunct care by administering enemas, douches, nonsterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths; applying restraints.
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information.
• Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
• Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential.
• Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and jcaho standards.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; maintaining licensure.
• Enhances nursing department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications for the Certified Nursing Assistant [CNA]:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting is highly preferred.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing aide/assistant program.
• Must maintain and possess a current Florida certification as a CNA.
• Maintain a satisfactory level of attendance and punctuality.
• Must be able to move, lift and position patients.

Must have:

• Current COVID test results
• CPR
• Resume / References

Level II background, drug screening and reference check upon hire.
