Cogir Senior Living (formerly Cadence Living) is hiring a caring, empathetic, and diligent LeadMedication Care Partner (Certified Med Tech) to join the team at our premier retirement community, Cadence at Wake Forest.
We have two full-time positions available - on the 2nd (3a-11p) and 3rd (11p-7a) shifts.
Our Medication Care Partners (Certified Med Techs) provide direct care to our senior residents following a personalized medication and treatment plan in a unique setting. The Lead Medication Care Partner (SIC-shift in charge) provides resident care, including medication administration, and ensures the smooth running of the shift by assisting in supervising the rest of the care team, acting as the main point of contact, ensuring proper shift handoff, and ensuring documentation is in place.

What will you do as a Lead Medication Care Partner?
- Assist the residents with daily administration of medication, including self-administration.
- Keep charting documentation current and report resident status changes.
- Coordinate medication orders and deliveries with pharmacies.
- Keep medication files and medical records current and up to date.
- Assist in overseeing care partners and medication care partners, ensuring all tasks are completed during the shift.
- Act as the main point of contact for residents, families, and staff during assigned shifts.
- Document shift reports and ensure proper handoff to the next shift.
- Provide compassionate care and support with activities of daily living to the residents in a team setting as needed.
- Prioritize independence and provide emotional support to the residents by providing continuous engagement and companionship.
- Promote open communication between healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:
- Positive team player attitude and love working with people!
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A minimum of 2 years of caregiving experience, including giving medication in a community setting, is preferred.
- Experience with Memory Care is a plus.
- Leadership experience in a similar role is preferred.
- A current state Medication Tech license.
- A state CNA or a PCA license.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate or ability to obtain.
- Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience is a plus!
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
