Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a CMA, you will be responsible for administering medications to patients in a skilled nursing facility. You will work collaboratively with licensed nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to residents.
Responsibilities:
• Administer medications to residents in compliance with facility care plans, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff.
• Assist with the documentation of medication administration.
• Ensure that medication carts are properly stocked and maintained.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including toileting, grooming, dressing, and bathing.
• Help residents with mobility and transfer as needed.
• Assist with serving meals and feeding residents when required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
Requirements:
• Hold a current CMA certification in the state of Kansas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Have current immunization records.
• Excellent communication skills with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow directions from licensed nursing staff.
• Patient and compassionate demeanor.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
