Certified Medical Assistant - Pride Health

Pride Health is hiring a Travel Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in

Newton Lower Falls, MA. This is a 13-week contractual rule with the possibility for an extension & a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates pre-visit preparations including addressing the special needs of patients (i.e. comfort measures, communication, and other appropriate issues), ensuring relevant labs and tests are scheduled and completed prior to office visit, organization of paper chart, etc.
• Escorts patients to the exam rooms and take vital signs.
• Performs a variety of patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice, including but not limited to: injections and EKG s.
• Obtains blood specimens in accordance with established procedures, while maintaining a professional, patient-sensitive atmosphere.
• Provides assistance to providers with office procedures.
• Prepares requisitions and submits specimens to the laboratory.
• Sends in electronic prescriptions for patients that have been instructed by providers.
• Communicates with patients regarding laboratory, imaging results and prescription instructions per practice protocol.
• Cleans and restocks exam rooms.
• Maintains the strictest confidentiality of any patient records including but not limited to treatment, diagnosis, history, medication, and financial status.

Required:

1. High school graduate or equivalent required.
2. Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program within 12 months of service required.
3. Current nursing student or Paramedic preferred.
4. National Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
5. CPR training required.
6. Experience of working as a Medical Assistant preferred.
7. Additional procedure and knowledge of sterile field preferred
8. Epic experience preferred.
9. The candidate’s permanent address should be 50 miles far away from the facility.

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shifts: Monday - Friday, Day shift

Weekly Gross Range: $1000 - $1100/weekly
