Job description:
Duties and responsibilities:
Participate in the coordination of patient care with the clinical team.
Answer phones in a pleasant/responsive manner and triage calls appropriately; take messages that are clear and legible and disseminate
Manually enter Lab testing into electronic medical records
Schedule patient for diagnostic testing procedures and ensure all appropriate authorizations and orders have been obtained and entered
Collaborate with clinical team to appeal denials for medications, Infusions, and procedures.
Process prescription refills as directed by providers
Fax, copy and scan documents as needed; follow up on patient-related issues as requested by the clinical team.
Alert providers if patients need urgent attention
