Responsibilities:Join an amazing team at a nationally recognized Top Place to Work in Healthcare! As a Certified Medical Assistant with Huxley Family Med, you will provide hands on patient care in a team-based environment.
Clinical Support:
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Record patient vitals, medical history, and other relevant information accurately.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and specimen collection.
Patient Care:
- Ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and providing clear instructions.
- Assist in patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.
Administrative Tasks:
- Schedule appointments, tests, and referrals for patients.
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Handle phone calls, inquiries, and coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Medical Equipment and Supplies:
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the proper functioning and cleanliness of medical equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Mandatory Reporter training.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.
