Certified Medical Assistant ONSITE in Dallas, TX 75246
• Pay Rate Range: $18-$24

• Length of Assignment: 1 year assignment w/possible extension
• Work Location: DFW area
- 2 Openings - 1 in Dallas 1 in Fort Worth
- Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 40 hours on weekly basis w/ possible weekend shift
• Top skills:
o Administrative vaccine exp preferred
o Pediatric experience

o This position will require local traveling
o Driving around the DFW metroplex and mileage reimbursement - MVR needs to be included
o Looking for people with experience providing immunizations -
o Nice to have experience with working with adults and children
o Every morning (one in Dallas and Ft Worth) they will pick up vaccines from both cities and a routing system will route them to where their visits will need to be.
o Certified MA Required

SUMMARY
Under the direction of a physician, assists in the delivery of health care for patients.
Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, maintenance of clinical record/documentation, administering medications, giving injections, taking vital signs, scheduling, mentoring and training of staff.
Identifies issues and participates in process improvement initiatives. Facilitates or leads huddles and various team meetings.
May manage process workflow and/or staff schedules.
Answer telephone for provider: Take and relay messages,
Make phone calls as instructed by provider; makes reminder calls as required
Complete paperwork as needed including scanning, stamping and filing as requested or required
Ensure all charts and forms for the office visit are ready for the provider.
Schedule patient appointments and follow-up tests as requested or required.
Arrange instruments and assist providers in exam and/or procedure room with tasks such as lumbar punctures, ultrasounds, biopsies, endoscopic procedures, dressing change, and other proceduresAssist the patient in case management
Assist with cardiac monitoring, set up and operate EKG equipment, place or change electrodes
Assist with inventory levels to ensure availability of necessary supplies, equipment and instruments; reorder as necessary and store appropriately
Collect all medical data in order to facilitate the physicians ability to draw conclusions about the patients needs
Complete finger sticks, phlebotomy or provide appropriate instructions for specimen collection as required
Collect vital signs, including pulse oximetry BP, pulse, respirations, head circumference, weight, height screening and hearing tests as appropriate
Obtain lab results from computer program if necessaryObtain need for medication refills and record patient data in charts
Perform foley catheter insertion, IV establishment (INT only) and dressings requiring sterile technique
Prepare patients for examinations and tests Scrub speculums and tools
Properly sterilize in an autoclave machine Set up for suture placement or removal

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
License and Certifications:- Basic Life Support (BLS)- Life Support Certification 30 days after expiration if required- Certified Medical AssistantExperience Equivalencies: - 2 years experience as CMA preferred- H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
