Job Summary:
Our busy and growing practice is currently looking for a conscientious and upbeat Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team at our Maryville/Alcoa office, full-time (4 days/wk, MWRF). The successful candidate will be a team player with unquestionable character, a passion for patient care, and solid clinical skills. The candidate will also be someone who can build excellent rapport with co-workers and who can add value to our organization by taking initiative and problem-solving. Specialty-specific training and development will be provided with a consistent work schedule.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greets engages and communicates well with patients and their families
- Works closely with providers to ensure a seamless patient experience
- Performs intake, vitals, and rooms patients
- Performs diagnostic procedures including allergy skin testing and pulmonary function testing
- Provides patient education when indicated
- Administers therapeutic medications, immunizations, and allergy injections
- Triages clinical inquiries; calls in prescriptions as ordered
- Documents and updates clinical data, care plans, and orders in EMR
- Schedules referrals and off-site services and obtains pre-certs/PAs if necessary
- Provides check-in and check-out support
- Other general nursing duties as required
