About the Job
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local codes, industry standards, and company safety policies.
- Develop and implement safety plans, procedures, and training programs tailored to each client's unique needs and project requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that safety measures are effectively integrated into project planning and execution.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to foster a strong safety culture and promote a proactive approach to risk management.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices, and actively participate in continuous professional development.
- BCSP certification as a Certified Health Safety Technician (CHST) or other relevant certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in a consulting or advisory role.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, NYC building codes, and other relevant safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
- A strong commitment to safety, integrity, and professionalism.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites within the New York City Metropolitan area (preferred).
