Resorts at Pooler is looking for a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to join out team! Ensuring that our residents are getting nurtitionally balance meals.
In this position as Food Service Director, you will be responsible for developing healthy meal plans that meet the dietary requirements of our patients. This will require you to spend time working directly with patients to identify their needs and preferences. You will spend some time preparing these meals yourself. However, you will also have staff to assist you with this process. You will be responsible for instructing them on how to do make these meals.
Dietary Manager (Food Service Director) Responsibilities:
- Manage daily food service operations in our hospital
- Recruit, hire, and train new staff members
- Instruct staff on how to create the meals that you design
- Maintain the inventory of our kitchens
- Establish a budget and work within its confines
- Ensure that meals are prepared and delivered in sanitary ways
- Create and manage the kitchen staff schedule
Dietary Manager (Food Service Director) Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in dietary management or a related field is preferred
- Dietary manager certification
- Previous experience in Long Term Care food services (management experience preferred)
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to meet the dietary needs of our diverse population of patients
