Certified Dietary Manager - Prestige Care Center Of Plattsmouth

The Certified Dietary Manager directs and supervises staff within the dietary department, responsible for planning, preparing, and serving regular, modified consistency and therapeutic diets using the corporate menu program. the CDM makes final selection of staff and supervises their orientation, on the job training, and work performance; is also responsible for disciplinary actions and discharge of staff. He/she supervises preparation service and delivery of food, requisitions supplies and equipment and purchases the food using corporate inventory and purchasing software, keeps records and completes reports concerning technical and administrative operations and also manages the dietary department within budget. 

Ensure that each resident is provided a nourishing, palatable, well-balanced diet that meets the daily nutritional and special dietary needs (State Regulation);

Hire and supervise all dietary personnel and discipline when necessary;

Ensure that necessary dietary staffing is present in the facility;

Ensure that dietary services are in compliance with applicable nutritional, safety, sanitation, and quality standards, state, and federal regulatory requirements;

Write and implement dietary policies, procedures, and management systems;

Legal right to work in the U.S.A.;

Speak, read, and write English;

Physical, mental, and emotional ability to perform function of the position;

Maintain a State of Nebraska Dietary Manager certification; CDM,CFPP

Two years experience in long term care or acute setting;

Must maintain full-time (minimum of 40 hours per week) status;
