As a Permanent Certified Building Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in the construction industry. You will be responsible for reviewing and inspecting commercial and residential building plans and specifications to ensure compliance with local and national building codes, as well as adherence to approved plans and specifications. You will be working closely with developers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure the safety and integrity of buildings. This role demands a high level of responsibility, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills. It is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the construction industry.

As a Permanent Certified Building Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in the construction industry. Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed inspections of building plans, specifications, and construction sites to ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and contract specifications.
- Interpret and apply knowledge of local and national building codes, ordinances, and regulations.
- Review and approve building plans and specifications submitted by architects and engineers for compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Identify potential design or construction issues and recommend modifications or adjustments as necessary.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals to ensure building codes and regulations are followed.
- Provide technical advice and consultation to construction professionals on the interpretation and application of building codes and regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports of inspection findings, including recommendations for necessary corrective actions.
- Use Procore construction management software for efficient project management and record-keeping.
- Attend pre-construction meetings and provide input on code compliance issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in building codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a building inspection or similar role.
- Must be a Certified Building Inspector with ICC (International Code Council) certification.
- Extensive knowledge of local and national building codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting complex building plans and specifications.
- Experience with Procore construction management software is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential design or construction issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
