About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient history and order appropriate imaging
- Assist with in office procedures
- Perform initial concussion evaluation and testing
- Splinting and casting application and removal
- Brace fittings and crutch training
- Implementing and instructing patient specific exercise programs
- Review of lab results, MRI and other study results
- Communication with MD and PA's regarding patient care
- Manage prior authorizations of medications and imaging
Competencies:
- Must have current BOC certification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and employees
Qualifications:
- Must have current BOC certification
- At least one year of experience, preferably within an orthopaedic practice, is preferred
- Communication skills are essential as this position interacts with practice providers, management team and staff members.
- Willingness to travel to several clinics on a weekly/daily basis
- Computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Electronic Medical Records
