About the Job
Responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the work process within the certification component of the program. Monitors certification activities for quality control and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and guidelines of the program.
Job Duties:Conducts internal quality control activities by monitoring the application process.
Verifies case eligibility and makes decisions based on applicable rules, regulations and guidelines.
Maintains appropriate files.
Provides training and technical assistance to staff.
Attends meetings and participates in committees.
Submits reports.
Assigns personnel schedules for field office visits.

Directly supervises 5 to 8 employees in the assigned department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Associate's degree from two-year college or technical school in Business related field; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. May include two years or more of undergraduate college course work.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
An additional one year of related experience is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
