Summary: Seeking a Certification Engineer to serve as the focal point for STC validation submissions, develop compliance strategies for Airworthiness Directives/Service Bulletins, and manage complex aircraft certification projects.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Aviation Management strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

10 to 12 years of practical work experience in a directly related job role.

Comprehensive familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations particularly Parts 21, 23, 25, 26, 27, 29, 91, 121,125, and 135.

Knowledge of certification procedures.

Must be a US Citizen or hold a Green Card; ITAR work regulations compliance required.
Preferred Skills:
-
Ability to develop company positions on exemptions and safety findings or responses to FAA issue papers.

Experience supporting major repair or alteration projects requiring FAA Field Approval.

Proficient in developing roadmaps for certification of projects resulting in issuance of STC.
Job Responsibilities:

Act as the focal point for submitting STC validation requests to foreign aviation authorities and Alternate Means of Compliance requests to the FAA.

Support coordination of major repair/alteration projects that require FAA form 337 approval or Supplemental Type Certificates.

Manage and coordinate multiple complex certification modification projects/programs simultaneously.

Interface between engineering teams and ODA Unit Members (UMs) or FAA Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs).

Review technical data for technical merit and compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR's).

Determine proper certification basis for aircraft changes and special conditions.

Work closely with various teams to collect data required for certification activities as specified by superiors within the engineering department.

Maintain design and certification documentation ensuring all relevant data is FAA approved for obtaining an STC.

Coordinate data flow between ODA, vendors, engineering handbook, Certification Manual & ODA Manual.

Coordinate issuance of the STC and perform additional duties such as Regulatory Audit responses and new project bid work.
Additional Information: Relocation assistance is available. The position is full-time with a standard work week from Monday to Friday on the first shift. No overtime expected. The hiring process includes video/phone interviews followed by an onsite interview if necessary.
Pay Details: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour
